Once again, Run Wisborough was a roaring success!. We had over 600 runners plus more at the children’s colour run and the initial feedback has been brilliant. The runners praised the fantastic atmosphere, beautiful village setting and of course all the brilliant marshals and supporters in making it such a special day. In addition, we had different food & drinks stalls on offer which people loved before, during & after the races!

We would like to say a big well done & congratulations to the winners:

10km race

Mens winner: Gary Tomlinson in a time of 35:08
Female winner: Melissa Galea in a time of 42:21

5km race

Mens winner: Matthew Clark in a time of 18:23
Female winner: Emily Hague in a time of 20:56

Unfortunately there were a small handful of incidents with car drivers trying to go through roads that had been officially closed and being very aggressive and rude to some of our volunteer marshals. We would ask everyone to be considerate and respect the signs and closures in place to ensure the safety of everyone involved. Thank you to all of you that respected the closures and cheered on the runners.

We expect to raise over £4,500 that will go towards the village sports facilities. A final thank you from the RunWisborough team to everyone involved, including runners, helpers, marshals, stallholders, audio team, race organisers and our fantastic sponsors – we really couldn’t have done it without everyone!
